12/5/12, 13:44 Dr. Clark’s impression of our presentation
- 1st slide: Needs a picture
- 2nd/3rd slide: Cut the picture in half, show each obstacle on the picture sequentially as you step through the list of items individually
- 4th slide: We talk about the improvements on last year’s design
- Should we show last year’s design
- Saying that ours is better is fine
- The rest of the slides are our components
- Maybe leave a thumbnail image of the CAD model on each of the components for reference
- Mention which ones are inherited and not
- Take out the max impulse amperage on the thrusters
- Take out the part about the beacon dropper being from the first team
- Power system:
- take out all but the first bullets
- Clearly show which are new
- Electronics
- Highlight the important focal points
- Move the cameras to the old section
- Move Depth section to new?
- Just highlight the new items on the slides
- Top level diagram image should be used to organize the others
- Either put it at the front or use it to wrap up
- Delete? the power system circuit diagrams
- Here’s how the mechanical fits together - NO, just regroup things in subsystems
- Here’s how the communications fits together
- Here’s how the electronics (power) fits together: one slide
- Out a cad picture in the subsystem overview
- Revisit the CAD design at the end
- Take out the picture of Alex at the end and replace it with the CAD model
- Really emphasize what we’ve done this semester
- We’ve made a design
- Maybe have a slightly different (prettier) image of our CAD model
- Mention our goal to go to San Diego to reemphasize competition goal
- Nice narrative arc, want to tell a story
- Will want lots of videos in the final presentation
- Want to make use of that dude Sam Taylor introduced us to
- We should send our presentation to this dude and see if he sees any red flags on our design
